Suzanne's inspiration for this piece originated while whale watching in Antractica! Whales consistently dotted this distant, pristene landscape. Often, photographs capture the dramatic scene of a whale's body in mid-air, plunging forcefully into the water. However, Suzanne creates a soothing experience. As the massive creatures gently break through the water's surface, their movements are commonly dance-like and serene. Their choreography produces an amazing display of whale tails in slow motion, decorating the Antarctic panorama. Beautifully composed and creating a dramatic but calming musical experience, A Graceful Splash will charm both students and audiences.
