The song beautifully captures the gray, melancholic mood of a foggy London morning and then shifts into a romantic, uplifting tone when love unexpectedly brightens the narrator's day. It’s a great example of the Gershwin brothers’ ability to blend melancholy with hope. Nice easy swing version complete with the requisite Big Ben chime effect. Second chorus features a Big band shout with trumpet solo. Intermediate level.
