A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson
Easy enough for beginners, yet still enjoyable for the more experts, (ha ha), Fun to play in a large band. The Joy to the World sounds really grand when there are enough brass playing, otherwise it sounds flat. The Silent night has an effect of bells ringing in the distance, using the xylophone. In the end, I have to say that I really enjoyed playing this song, and I was pleased to have Christian music like 'O come all ye faithful', included. Definitely a must have in a Christmas concerts in large bands.

Forgot to mention on my last review...... :)
I forgot to say in my last review, one of the downs of this music, it that when on percussion, (I do percussion in this song,) the music is hard to read, being all crammed onto two pages, so that's percussion groups 1&2, and the mallet percussion. The snare drum and the suspended cymbal and the crash cymbals near the end are the hardest to define. But other than that, this is a good piece of music, still deserving a five star rating.
