Solid Holiday Jazz Chart for Gigs
Paul Murtha's Grade 3 arrangement of 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' delivers a solid, recognizable medley for holiday events. The charts are well-written for a jazz ensemble, and the rhythm section parts (including piano/guitar with accurate chord symbols) are practical. It’s a reliable pick-up gig piece. My only minor note is that some transitions between songs could be smoother for a more polished live performance.

Excellent for Developing Jazz Ensembles
This Grade 3 arrangement of Vince Guaraldi's Christmas classics is perfect for my middle school jazz band. The clear presentation makes reading easy, and the rhythmic interplay within the medley (Linus and Lucy, Skating) is fantastic for teaching ensemble precision. Pure Joy for the Holidays!
Playing this Vince Guaraldi medley from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' with my community jazz ensemble is pure holiday bliss! The Grade 3 level means it's challenging enough to feel rewarding but totally achievable for weekend players. It truly captures the iconic sound of Linus and Lucy, Skating, and Christmas Time Is Here. So much fun and a fantastic way to enjoy classic jazz during the festive season.

Charlie swings
Our jazz band used this piece for Christmas concerts. The tunes within the medley connected well with our players and the audiences. Transitions between songs were abrupt making changes between songs slightly challenging removing one star from an other wise great medley.

Cute Piece!
This is a very nice medley of the popular songs from the Charlie Brown Christmas show and CD. Our adult jazz band is playing it this 2017 Christmas season. It's not difficult, but is well written and sounds great. Our only criticism is that the ending is a bit abrupt, but we still like the piece.
