A Caribbean Christmas is a thrilling adventure through the most famous and recognizable Christmas holiday songs of all time. Written in a Caribbean Soca rhythmic style and including three key changes, this is an advanced arrangement that will feature and challenge your best musicians.
Each section of the ensemble has the opportunity to perform the melody in this arrangement. Often, students on the "accompaniment" instruments are stuck playing repeated chords with little to no motion or challenge. I found it important as an educator that each student gets challenged and has the opportunity to feel "important" to the contribution of the ensemble.
Every ensemble that has ever performed this has received a standing ovation. It is thrilling, exciting, challenging, recognizable, and just fun to play.
