After hearing this song at the Country to Country festival I thought I’d try a brass quintet arrangement of it. Shaboozey released A Bar Song (Tipsy) on 2024 on his third album and the song talks about being frustrated with his job so goes to let his hair down in a bar. The trombone takes the lead after the introduction but the melody soon gets passed around, even a spotlight for the tuba (love a tuba solo).
Great to play at a celebration like a wedding or out on the bandstand - “Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy” “Oh my, good Lord”.
