Published by Dee Braxton-Pellegrino (A0.1855588).A very easy piece for first year violin ensemble with easy, non-optional piano accompaniment. All violins play in unison. Very happy and upbeat and about 2+ minutes long. I composed this piece for my first year 4th grade strings (all violins for right now), incorporating rhythms and skills we are working on: playing scales, simple arpeggios, repeated familiar rhythms, etc. Another GREAT teaching point using this piece is to teach simply navigating a piece of music visually. There are plenty of rehearsal letters, a couple of easy repeats, places to count measures of rest while watching the conductor and preparing to play, etc. ALSO! I included a place for the student to write their name (just learning to keep up with their music and keep a pencil handy) AND I numbered the lines so you can say "please go to line 5, and go to the second measure", etc. This little composition is so playable and the kids love it! At some point I will add a cello, viola and bass part when I move it to D Major. Feel free to email me at: [email protected] to inquire about other pieces and release dates!
