Gabriel Faur (1845-7924) was among the leading French song composers of the fin de siècle. Suited well for clarinet and piano duo

Four delightful melodies (published by Brenreiter) are nicely re-arranged for clarinet soloists to bring out the flowing melodies and subtle harmonization and to highlight the unique voicing of the clarinets. This will be a superb addition to the repertoire of the accomplished clarinet soloists. Les Berceaux is my favorite piece.
