4 Chansons by Clement Janequin Baritone Horn - Sheet Music

By Clement Janequin

Most of the work of Clement Janequin (1485-1558) consists of settings of texts by Marot, François 1st, Ronsard etc. He seems to have been more interested in the rhythm than in the sense of his texts. In 1550 he was appointed " Singer in Ordinary to the King" and towards the end of his life obtained the much sought-after title of "Composer in Ordinary to the King".
