Great Classical Duos
These duets have beautiful dazzling melodies and are lots of fun to play. They were greatly admired by Spohr. The rondo from the first duet is my favorite in this collection. The audiences we've performed these for have loved them. Spohr referred to Andreas Romberg as a cultured and thoughtful artist whose compositions show melodic sweetness in a highly artistic motiviecontrapuntal garb His duets for two violins opus 18 are also nice to play. They both are in the classical style.
