Composed by Paul Hindemith. Edited by Bernhard Billeter. This edition: Saddle stitching. Sheet music. Edition Schott. Classical. Composed 1918. 16 pages. Duration 6'. Schott Music #ED9850. Published by Schott Music (HL.49033340).
ISBN 9783795797843. UPC: 884088129613. 9.0x12.0x0.068 inches.
It is a small sensation that Two Pieces, so far an unknown organ composition by Hindemith, can be published for the first time now. It consists of a prelude with fast and soft arpeggios, followed by a more peaceful movement with alternating homophonic and polyphonic chordal passages leading into a grandiose ending. Although the organ is one of the few instruments that Hindemith never played, his three sonatas and the two organ concertos are important repertoire pieces.
