Definitely written by a sax player. I'm reminded of the movie 'Mozart' where the Austrian King says too many notes! Several of the arrangements are quite nice (Church Song being my favorite). The challenge would be to play every written note, however the songs do lend themselves to artistic interpretation over the chord changes (which are present). Each etude is fairly long and all have a difficult bridge. Most of the songs tend to follow traditional 'be-bop' style playing. Mastering all 14 of these songs would be an accomplishment!
