100 Solos - Violin
There are some good solos here. There are several the start out well and then just end out of nowhere as if it was done just to make,the song not exceed one page in length.Also be aware that these are very beginner solos, which is ok if that is what you are looking for.

Don't bother
The publisher relied on a lot of obscure movie songs, obscure Cat Stevens and Beatles tunes. Not worth the money

Gradual progression in dificulty
Excellent book for and adult beginner or adult intermediate player. Advanced or intermediate/advanced players may want something more challenging. Younger players might be frustrated with the outdated selection.The best part is the gradual progression in difficulty. This is not a random selection of pieces; the arrangers put some thought into both selection and sequence. This is excellent for an adult player/learner who tries to play every day, but sometimes misses a day or two or maybe even a week or two. Whether picking up the violin to relax for 20 minutes after work or spending a weekend afternoon trying a new skill, there always seems to be something in this book that is just right: neither too easy nor too difficult.Easy to read and the arrangements are fairly consistent. The more difficult arrangements have notation for bow and position changes. The music selection is good considering late 80's publication date. Paperback binding. Alphabetic TOC.

I thought this book was fantastic, just what I WANTED great songs and easy enough to play, most of them anyway. I am really enjoying it

100 Solos for Violin
This book has really nice songs - I ordered one for an adult student who wanted something fun to play - not too difficult - so they could play at their RV park and places where some of the oldies would be enjoyed. However, I returned the book because it didn't have any piano accompaniment available.
