Guitar Arrangements for Vocal Support
While designed as solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements, this collection holds surprising value for vocalists and coaches. The clear presentation of the melody within the guitar texture makes it excellent for singers to learn their parts or for a guitarist to accompany. The sheer volume of pop and standard tunes means a great library for any vocalist working with a fingerstyle guitarist. A useful resource despite being a guitar solo book.

Pure Enjoyment for Weekend Guitarists!
I absolutely love this book! With 100 'most beautiful songs ever' like 'Hallelujah' and 'Tears in Heaven,' it's pure joy to play. The fingerpicking arrangements sound fantastic and are very satisfying to learn, even for an adult learner like me. It's challenging enough to feel rewarding but not overly difficult for a relaxing weekend session. A wonderful collection for anyone wanting to enjoy playing timeless tunes.

Solid Repertoire Builder, Minor Caveats
This collection is a great resource for expanding a fingerpicking repertoire, especially with so many popular standards. The arrangements are solid for solo guitar work and recognizable for requests. My only practical notes for gigging are that explicit chord symbols would be a huge plus for quick reference, and the sheer page count means you'll definitely be navigating page turns. Still, a strong addition to any pro's library.

Excellent Resource for Fingerstyle Students
This Hal Leonard collection is superb for intermediate guitar students transitioning into fingerstyle. The blend of standard notation and tablature is incredibly helpful for learning both reading and rhythmic precision. With 100 pop and standard classics, it offers a diverse and engaging repertoire. The engraving is clear, though teachers might note the large size could present minor page turn challenges in a lesson setting. Highly recommended!

Very nice collection
I am really enjoying playing from this very nice collection of lovely fingerstyle pieces. Most are written in standard tuning, with a number in Dropped-D tuning, and I find most of the pieces easily playable. I would love this book more if it were printed without page turns (maybe putting the TAB in a different section rather than with the transcription?), and if it had different binding (binding will break, releasing pages. Why not publish as a spiral-bound book?). This book will provide a lot of playing pleasure!
