About Vijay Singh

Vijay Singh is a highly respected and internationally recognized American composer, conductor, educator, and performer, currently serving as a Professor of Music at Central Washington University. He is celebrated for his eclectic musical output, which seamlessly blends classical choral traditions with vibrant jazz idioms, making him a significant voice in contemporary choral and vocal jazz music. Singh's prolific career as a composer, coupled with his impactful work as a clinician and conductor, has established him as a leading figure in music education and performance.

Vijay Singh has an extensive catalog of over 170 compositions currently in print, published by a variety of publishers, reflecting his versatility across different musical styles and ensembles.
His major work, "MASS with Orchestra," received its world premiere at the prestigious Lincoln Center in New York City on May 30, 2011.
An active bass-baritone soloist, Singh has performed with notable ensembles such as the Robert Shaw Chorale, Male Ensemble Northwest, and the award-winning a cappella jazz quartet Just 4 Kicks.
Singh has been honored with multiple ASCAP Composer Awards and served as the National Repertoire and Standards Chair for Jazz Choirs in the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA).
