Children can compose for Wallace and Gromit in new BBC composition

Following on from this year’s Wallace and Gromit BBC Prom, the broadcaster and Aardman Animations have announced to launch of an exciting new competition inviting primary school children to compose music for a new Wallace and Gromit TV clip.
BBC Learning hope to promote education and creativity with the competition as well as aiming to inspire youngsters with ambitions of becoming film composers.
The competition is designed for children to compose their entries in small groups, and to aid classroom teachers the BBC is including musical web resources to help kids gain confidence, perform together and experiment with sound.
All shortlisted composer teams will be invited to visit Aardman Animations studios while the winning entry will be recorded and broadcast for a special episode of CBBC’s Blue Peter.
The competition is open now and runs until its deadline on Monday December 3, 2012.
