If you’re a fan of Blackstar, you won’t want to miss their live webcast this evening at 7.30pm (BST), with Bruce Keir, their Technical Director. Bruce has been designing amplifiers almost his entire life, and is one of the founders of this 5-year old company.
Previously Chief Design Engineer and Technical Director at Marshall Amplification, he started Blackstar in 2007 alongside another former Marshall employee Ian Robinson and two others. Their passion for tone and quality shines through in the products they make, and they are quickly becoming one of the most popular amp makers amongst amateurs and pros alike.
The latest from this Northampton company will be the ID Series due later this year. A departure from previous all-valve offerings, these modelling amplifiers feature TVP technology to recreate the dynamics of valve amps and allow you to switch between different tubes at will, as well as featuring their famous ISF control.
