The songs have been played, the entries are in and the deadline has passed.
Now is the time to announce the winner of our BIG musicroom competition for a Fender Stratocaster guitar.
We’d like to thank all who entered for their videos and performances. From wizard hat wearing garden jams to impressive multi-instrumental arrangements, the standard has been high and the approaches varied, showing not only the potential of the Pocket Guitar Songbook app but also the creativity and talent of our Facebook followers.
The winning video was perhaps the simplest in terms of video and sound production, relying instead on the guitars chords, playing and voice of the performer – a focus we thought both best fulfilled the purpose of the app and placed the music, first and foremost as the most important element of the clip.
So without further ado, we’d like to announce that Ross Graham as the winner of our American Fender Stratocaster!
Check out Ross’ entry, a guitar and vocal cover of Bill Wither’s Ain’t No Sunshine, below.
A couple of honorable mentions must also be made to William Johnston for his version of The Skye Boat Song that takes in guitar, piano and violin, and Matthew Smith’s solo performance of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight.
Thank you again for all your time, effort and entries and be sure to look out for more BIG musicroom competitions and prizes in the near future!
