Amy Winehouse set for a hologram comeback?

Despite passing away almost 12 months ago, London-born jazz sensation Amy Winehouse continues to capture the public’s interest and imagination.
Since her death in July 2011, friends and relatives of the singer have helped to compile an album of previously unheard material, while sales of her landmark album Back To Black soared in the aftermath of her death.
Now, though, Amy’s father Mitch has gone one step further by suggesting that a hologram of the Rehab singer be made to ensure that her legion of fans can continue to enjoy Amy’s music live.
Speaking to The Sun, Mitch explained: “The most important thing to Amy was the music and I’m sure a lot of people would like to hear her sing again.
“It depends on what Amy’s fans want as a way to keep her memory alive. If it’s a book, an album or a hologram, then so be it.”

A hologram of Tupac appeared at Cochella this year and plans are underfoot to bring Freddie Mercury back in a special production of We Will Rock You on the West Stand.

Mitch has already released a book in tribute to his world famous daughter, while he also helped to set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps people with drug addictions.
Speaking recently, Mitch explained that the establishment of the Foundation had helped him to overcome the grief brought on by his daughter’s death.
The Amy Winehouse Foundation was launched on what would have been Amy’s 28th birthday and according to Mitch, it can help fans to recognise that his daughter experienced the same trials and tribulations as regular people.
“We’re not going to say she was a saint and forget the drug stuff. She was a normal girl with frailties,” he said.
Earlier this month, hip-hop legend Nas spoke about his collaboration with Amy for a song that is set to appear on his upcoming album Life Is Good.
Nas explained that Cherry Wine came together thanks to the efforts of Salaam Remi, who was influential in the careers of both artists.
