Adding to her already impressive array of trophies and awards, last night at the 85th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, Adele collected the Oscar for Best Song for Skyfall.
Celebrated for its vintage Bond-song sound and style, Skyfall, written by Adele and Paul Epworth, had already scored the Golden Globe for Best Song and BRIT award for single of the year.
Used as the theme for the 23rd official Bond film of the same name, Skyfall has proven to be a commercial success in its own right, shifting more than 2 million copies worldwide.
Skyfall the film recently became the biggest grossing movie of all time at the British box office, and has been acclaimed by some as one of the best chapters in the long-standing James Bond film franchise.
