We are very excited to announce a new series of live music in-store events, where local musicians will be given the opportunity of performing a short live set at their local Musicroom store.
Staring on March 16th 2014 Musicroom Brighton and Portsmouth (first date, 27th April) will be hosting ‘Acoustic Sunday’ concerts, and we are looking for local musicians to fill our set lists!
These events are relaxed and a lot of fun. Anyone can apply, budding or professional musicians and singers.
The concerts will be continuing throughout the year with 6 dates in total between the two stores. We are looking for 24 live acts to perform 20 minute acoustic sets.
Variety is welcomed, so we are looking for artists across a range of genres and instruments. From songwriters, guitarists and violinists to a cappella vocal groups and accordion players, everyone is welcome to enter!
Acoustic Sunday Concert Dates:
Brighton: 16 March – 11 May – 13 July
Portsmouth: 27 April – 15 June – 17 August

Please email your SoundCloud (or the alternative online account your music is hosted on) to the store you would perform at, either:
brighton@musicroom.com or portsmouth@musicroom.com
Alternatively, drop off a demo CD to the staff in-store.
Our staff will pick their favourite entries, and if you have been successful we will contact you with a gig date.
Each musician performing will receive a Musicroom gift voucher plus discounts on gear they purchase on the day.
Finally, four acts (two from each store) will be invited to return at the end of the year and perform in a more formal concert at music venue in either Portsmouth or Brighton.
